HCAs: Stories of the heart

From Kitchen Table Chats in the Spring to Patio Ponderings over the summer, BCCPC has asked the province’s Health Care Assistants (HCAs) to tell their stories, with an eye to learning how the Centre can best support this group during COVID-19.

The stories were compelling. There were stories of worry and fear; caring and compassion. Stories of hard times and tough decisions and stories of shared laughs and unexpected pleasures.

We enjoyed them so much that we had to share them in video form. Represented by actors, the words in the script are the real deal – they are the stories of the heart that HCAs around BC shared with us.

There will be a “world premiere” screening exclusively for HCAs who took part in the Chats, Ponderings and surveys on October 8, then the video will be available for everyone via our YouTube channel. Stay tuned for that announcement on our social channels!
