N95 Fit Testing

We understand that fit-testing services for N95 respirators have become more scarce in some areas due to the pandemic and that this is a challenge for some of our members. We want to ensure that care settings that wish to fit-test their staff – for example, so that care staff can perform aerosol-generating medical procedures, or as preparedness for possible airborne pathogens or other respiratory hazards – can continue to do so. SafeCare BC is therefore offering two pilot fit-testing sessions in partnership with Mountainview Safety Services. This is not a Train-the-Trainer session, it is an opportunity for staff to be fit-tested.
These sessions will take place on November 3rd and 4th in the SafeCare BC Training Centre in Burnaby. Fit-testing will be provided on these days at a reduced cost of $10 per person. If you have any questions, please contact Jenni Cannon at jcannon@safecarebc.ca.
