A compassionate communities initiative, the All Together ECHO series is open to healthcare providers, volunteers, volunteer-led organizations, community groups, and individuals looking to be inspired by and learn from others developing compassionate communities.
The series began as a follow-up to an inaugural All Together Symposium in 2022 and continues the symposium’s work to help bridge the gap between the health system’s approach and the compassionate communities’ approach to palliative care.
So far in the series, we have had discussions on core concepts of compassionate communities, explored research around social prescribing, featured communities engaged in compassionate community initiatives and discussed the importance of essential conversations and how we can engage in having these conversations.
Leading up to this year’s All Together Symposium – Nurturing Partnerships, Reimagining Palliative Care (coming on October 4, 2024), the All Together ECHO series is a great way to be inspired and share resources, knowledge and ideas before the symposium, in a virtual format.

At our June 10 ECHO session called “Go Grey – Why Museum Resources are Good for the Well-being of Seniors” Kim Gough, Acting Director, Visitor Experience, Royal BC Museum will share highlights of her research into museum outreach programs and their impact on the well-being of seniors.
