Last week, around 200 participants gathered in downtown Vancouver for the All Together Symposium 2024: Nurturing Partnerships. Reimagining Palliative Care. During a vibrant day with over 40 sessions on wide-ranging topics, attendees were informed, challenged and inspired:
“A most excellent conference! The mix of plenary sessions (excellent) and informative breakout formats carried the momentum and energy of participants and attendees through the entire day. I made new connections and re-connections across the many attendees. Kudos!!”
— Alan Ruddiman (IHSTS Board Member and Director of Rural Program, Rural Coordination Centre of BC)” Amazing conference, we learned so much in just one day!”
— Practicum students with BCHPCA“One of my favourite things about being a room host was seeing the engagement in questions following presentations. It wasn’t the number of questions, it was dialogue back and forth between presenters and attendees – the ‘I love this idea!’ and ‘Wondering how you handle….’ Witnessing celebrations of accomplishments and working together to problem solve across regions, care settings, projects, etc in that limited Q&A time was so cool! Also, seeing presenters and session attendees connect after to talk more was icing on the cake!!”
— Stephanie Steurle, BCCPC“Great Symposium today. New research, initiatives and resources presented to help us adapt and serve our changing communities of care. Care providers, policymakers, analysts and leaders unite to share data and new initiatives to give quality care for our changing communities. Connecting with friends and colleagues at the Symposium. Incredible to be in this special community of caring individuals supporting end of life.”
— Andrea C., Executive Director – Abbotsford Hospice & Grief Support Society
