ECHO in 2023…. New sessions on the horizon

Logo of Project ECHO, Pallium Canada & BCCPC

Looking ahead to 2023, the BCCPC’s Palliative Care ECHO Program is looking at another year of dramatic growth with an impressive variety of themes, topics and sessions. ECHO’s ‘all learn, all teach’ approach has found popularity among our stakeholders in BC, and the program’s practice of co-creating the sessions results in content that is developed with, not for, the learners.

If 2022 was anything to go on, this approach will result in another busy year. Evaluating each session to build on its success, the program was better able to identify, adapt, scale and spread sustainable best practices in Palliative Care throughout the province. (Thank you to all of our provincial satellite hub partners). Check out the infographic to get a snapshot of 2022’s activities.

The ECHO program will continue to partner with stakeholders and satellite hubs, developing sessions and series in 2023 focusing on and highlighting key initiatives within BCCPC’s public health portfolio and to broaden our stakeholder base to include more learners from community-based non-profits.  An additional goal for 2023 will be to improve the evaluation process and increase the accessibility of the sessions and resources produced from the sessions.
