The new Grief & Bereavement Literacy ECHO Series is a free learning opportunity for anyone interested in increasing their knowledge around grief and bereavement to support them personally or in their professional careers. We hope to attract a wide range of people including healthcare providers, community organizational staff and volunteers, and those personally affected by loss.
On August 15, we launched the first virtual Grief and Bereavement Literacy Series session with record-breaking enrolment. The topic was “Healing Hearts Support – Finding Hope and Resilience After a Substance Use Related Loss” with an educational presentation by Jennifer Howard, Program Manager at Moms Stop the Harm. The session also included personal stories from Leslie Hoyga and Marilyn Schick who shared their lived experience and how they found support.
If you missed the session, or would like to listen again, you can view the session recording here.
