Kaleidoscope 2021: A Grief Convention for Families and Professionals

Canada’s most comprehensive grief conference is coming, and you are invited. BC Centre for Palliative Care is a proud sponsor of this year’s event.

Established in 2020 as Canada’s very first grief conference, Kaleidoscope 2021 is a virtual gathering of professionals, individuals and families who have been impacted by serious illness, grief and loss.

As a champion of the compassionate communities movement, it was a natural fit for BCCPC to support Kaleidoscope 2021. The conference creates and fosters a compassionate community by approaching healing and grief as a shared, collective experience and by recognizing that everyone has a place in the grief journey.

What’s in store

Presented in partnership with BCCPC, Kaleidoscope’s innovative programming will include events to educate, inspire and connect.

You can look forward to:

• talks from internationally recognized keynote speakers, celebrated Canadian authors and actors, Juno-award winning performers and notable experts in the fields of grief psychology/counselling/parenting and mental health. (check out the list of speakers here)

• Community-building activities such as a virtual campfire, a community memory service, and self-care sessions

• Engaging virtual workshops for children, youth and families including song writing, puppetry, improv games, and art therapy

• Support groups for frontline workers, grieving youth and adults facilitated by professional therapists
