Now available! Web-based ACP information for South Asian and Chinese communities

The Advance Care Planning (ACP) information and resources on our website have been tailored to BC’s Chinese and South Asian communities and are now available in English, Punjabi, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese.

By offering public-facing advance care planning information in Punjabi, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese, we are able to address the needs of two of the province’s largest culturally diverse groups.

How the resources were developed

The culturally and linguistically adapted Advance Care Planning information and resources on the BCCPC’s website are the products of a two-year project funded by Health Canada. These resources were developed, tested and improved through community-based participatory action research.

Acknowledgement

The project is now concluded, and we would like to thank all the members of the South Asian and Chinese communities who have contributed to the adaptation, translation and evaluation of the online Advance Care Planning information and resources. In particular, thanks go to the members of the Advisory Committee, whose input, insight and expertise were invaluable throughout the project.
