Our work is expanding, and so is the BCCPC team. This summer, we welcomed (virtually still) three new team members.
Antonina (Annette) Garm (RN, MSN, MALS, EXTRA Fellow) joined the team mid-August as a Special Projects Manager. Annette will take on projects that support the Centre to achieve its strategic goals, funding sustainability and growth, especially supporting the implementation of the professional education action plan; redeveloping online ACP education modules for health care providers; and developing ACP resources for Hindi-speaking communities in BC. For more about Annette, go to Our Team.
Joshua Black (PhD) also joined the BCCPC team in mid-August as a Research Manager to cover Rachel Carter’s maternity leave. Joshua will be responsible for a wide range of research projects and activities, from scoping through to report writing and spread of knowledge gained from research. He will be drawing upon his research, grant writing, analytical, and reporting expertise to advance the Centre’s research capabilities. For more about Joshua, go to Our Team.
Michelle Ouimet (MSW) started with BC Centre for Palliative Care in a student placement role, supporting the two ACP projects funded by Health Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada. She has since taken on a research assistant role and is now moving into a project coordinator position. For more about Michelle, go to Our Team.
