Part of a marketing project by our intern Laura Wicki-Stordeur (part of our profile story), the social media expansion is based on survey of 13 health care professionals with an average age of 35-44 of which 75% were female and 42% with a Master’s degree. The most common disciplines represented were social work, nursing and medicine.
Of the group surveyed: close to 100% wanted to find out more about palliative care, and 60% were interested in BCCPC events; many requested education that wasn’t primarily focused on nurses; and visual and experiential learning was preferred.
